What is Freeview?
Freeview is a new simple way to receive up to 30 free digital TV channels, plus radio and interactive services, through your aerial. Freeview has no contract and you just make a one-off payment for equipment.So, once you have paid for the box there are no more monthly bills.

How do I get it?
You buy an adapter to convert your existing TV set to Freeview reception. Newer televisions may be integrated digital sets which means that they can already get the Freeview channels. Adapters cost from around 99 pounds. You need a good quality rooftop aerial. There is no further cost unless you need a new aerial. You should be able to use your existing rooftop aerial, depending on its condition and your precise location, but may need to get your installation checked. If you live in a flat or other building with a shared communal aerial we have this advice you should contact your landlord to see if the system may need to be upgraded to an Integrated Reception System.

Freeview covers almost seventy-five percent of the UK population. It has over 30 free TV and radio services. You get all the BBC's digital TV and radio channels (included in your licence fee) as well as your 5 existing TV channels.
